Hey folks…
It’s been a while since we had time to sit down and tell you what’s going on in the Circus World, but last Saturday night’s gig at The Cliffs Resort was so much fun that we needed to share it with you.
First of all, we decided to do the gig as the Acoustic Rodeo. Donny with just a snare and bass drum, Bailey on the bass, and Kyle on the acoustic guitar. That opens us up to just about anything. We have this “musical guarantee” that we throw out there at almost every gig. If we know one verse and one chorus of any song written since, well, the Middle Ages, we’ll attempt it. This week’s highlights included Bryan Adams’ “Run to You”, “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”, and Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine (when She’s Gone)”. Folks, it was just plain fun! One of the folks who was at the gig said (and I paraphrase) “It’s nice to hear a band who plays what we want to hear”. Well, that’s what we do. We are developing a repertoire that is nearing 125 songs, and our goal collectively is to get that up around 200 before too long. If you keep requesting ‘em, chances are we’ll keep learning ‘em and spittin’ ‘em out.
We’ll be back at the Cliffs on Friday, July 3 for a pre-4th of July bash, and then Saturday night, look out! We’ll be opening the show at the big Camp Eddleman Blow-Up and Fireworks Extravaganza. 3 Ring, RA Hill and the Repeat Offenders, and the Tony Pierce Science Experiment, all for free!!! Come on out and hang with us as we try to make Lake Graham look and sound like a war zone…
‘Til then…

First of all, welcome to the brand new 3 Ring Rodeo.com. It’s been a while since we have had an active website, and we’re glad to be back. Check out all the different pages and let us know what you think.
Long drive ahead today, but we’re looking forward to being back at the Black Gold Casino in Hobbs, NM this weekend. It’s about 10 miles across the Texas/NM border, so to all of our friends in Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, Ruidoso and Carlsbad, we invite you all to come out and give us a listen. Our sound has probably changed quite a bit since the last time you all heard us. We have decided to continue on as a three-piece band from here on out, and our sound is much more lean and raw. We’ll still be playing all the favorites that you know and love, but they’ll be edgier…
Also, we are rebranding the band with a new logo and a new set of merchandise to go along with it. The “bullseye” R that you see at the top of the website will be prominent in anything we do, at least for now, and we have new t-shirts and caps for sale at our gigs, as well as temporary tattoos and CDs. We will have another t-shirt design available in women’s tank tops and t-shirts for the summer, and we’ll have some different colors of caps in the near future, as well.
Feel free to let us know what you think. We’re on MySpace, Twitter, and soon to be on Facebook, as well. Take a look at the "CONTACT" page for links.
Thanks for checking us out…
